| The two letter suffix to the serial No. of their F.I.E. is a date code. The first letter is the month, the second letter the year. The series starts in 1935 (January) with the suffix AA. The letters I and Q are omitted. The second letter is the year, starting in 1935, leaving out the letters I and Q. So 1958 is Z. 1959 starts with an A again, so Z is 1982. The first letter is the month, the letters I and Q are omitted. So Jan to Dec in the 1935 to 1958 block are A to M and in the 1959 to 1982 block are N to Z. | |||
